Wolf’s Lair – the ruins of Adolf Hitler’s headquarters. A town hidden in the forest where 200 buildings: shelters, barracks, 2 airports, power station, railways, air conditioners, waterworks, heating plants and two teleprinters can be found.

The place where colonel Claus Schenk von Stauffenberg failed his assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler on July 20th, 1944.

This is where it was decided that prisoners would be used as a workforce in German armaments industry and to build new concentration camps. The place where criminal decisions regarding the fate of many European nations were taken.

The village is known for the pilgrimage church, Our Dear Lady of Święta Lipka, one of the most significant monument of Baroque architecture in modern Poland.

Located in northern Poland, Masurian woods Wolfsschanze/Wolf’s Lair/Wilczy Szaniec was first Eastern Front military headquarters of Germans during the II World War.
Wolfsschanze naming derived from “Wolf”, Adolf Hitler’s nickname. Tt was the top secret site. The central complex where Hitler’s bunker was located was surrounded by three security zones.
Hitler arrived to Wolf’s Lair for the first time in June 1941 and spent there more than 800 days.
It was the place were famous assassination attempt against Hitler was taken in July 1944.
In 1945, before Soviets came site was blown up and partially destroyed.
We invite you for one day trip from Warsaw to Wolf’s Lair to see the legendary Hitler’s headquarters and to visit nearby located village of Swieta Lipka/Holly Till. According to legend, the name Heiligelinde (Holy Linden tree) Święta Lipka – Holy Tilia (lime tree) – referred to a tree with a wooden statue of Mary under which miracles took place. A medieval chapel was destroyed in XVI century, although already a pilgrimage site. And rebuilt in XVII century with impressive Swieta Lipka basilica.
